We are all doomed and going bust if you listen to certain media and 'economic' commentators. Sure, the USA and Europe are in trouble and you will hear anecdotes from people here saying 'they are having their worst year ever' ...etc (isn't there always people having their worst year?).
However...all of this has to be taken in proportion, here are some cold, hard, bare facts to consider:
Throughout the GFC in Australia we have not had one recessionary period (1/4 of a year), period!
Our economy is underpinned by our mining sector which shows little sign of slowing - it is being driven by massive growth in Asia and shows little sign of stopping.
We have one of the most diverse economies in the world so when one one sector (like tourism) goes slack that slack is taken up by other areas.
The small and medium sized business sector makes up 80% of our economy and it has been largely unaffected by global economic jitters.
Companies and organisations Australia-wide are promoting and using Promotional Items more than ever (last year was our largest sales year).
We are seeing a lot of forward orders for Promotional Items suggesting that many out there share our optimism.
So...
