NAIDOC week for 2020 sees a change of date, being postponed to commence on the 8th of November and run to the 12th of November.

Giving plenty of time to have your NAIDOC 2020 merchandise produced and ready as well as health safety measures in place.

This was brought about by the National NAIDOC Committee (NNC) making the call to postpone due to COVID-19 concerns. With the aim of protecting elders and communities with chronic health issues.

What is NAIDOC Week?

NAIDOC stands for “National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee”.

The week is held across Australia usually in July to celebrate the culture, history and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Celebrated by both indigenous communities and all Australians.

The acronym for NAIDOC eventually became the name of the week itself.
